Peels
From a "lunch time" peel for light exfoliation to our medical grade peels for moderate to severe sun damage, we provide complete skin rejuvenation by promoting cell renewal and stimulating collagen production.
Peels come in several strengths: superficial, medium, and deep. Deeper peels may provide greater results, but they also have a greater risk and downtimes increase the deeper you go. Superficial peels just exfoliate (like a salicylic acid peel for acne). Superficial to medium peels like the Vitalize Peel removes most of the epidermis which is deep enough to give you visible results, but it does not hurt, it is very safe, and you do not need to miss any work.
We customize all peels to each your individual needs.
Peels Pre Care
The face should be clean and free of make-up before peels. To achieve the best results, you should use skin care products before your peel and anticipate that two or more peels may be needed at three-month intervals.
Peels After Care
What to expect post peel, day 1-2 - Generally the skin is les irritated after the first 24 hours. Skin may look and feel dry, tight and appear slightly red. If you experience discomfort, swelling or excessive irritation, contact us immediately.
What to expect post peel, day 3-7 - The skin will continue to feel dry and tight. Some may experience mild to moderate sloughing as this is a normal process of a chemical exfoliation treatment. The amount of sloughing varies depending on the chemical peel used in treatment, home care products, and skin conditions.

Peels FAQ
Q: What skin conditions does a peel help?
A: Peels can help acne, hyperpigmentation, skin tone and skin texture.
Q: Who should get a peel?
A: Anyone who wants a brighter, more even skin tone.
Q: Are the benefits of a peel instant?
A: You should notice a difference after just one peel, but more dramatic results are achieved in a series of 3 to 6 peels. During our complimentary consultation, we can recommend the type and number of peels for your desired results.
Q: How long does the peel take?
A: Peels may require 15-60 minutes.
Q: Is there discomfort?
A: When the desired peel depth is achieved, the active chemicals will be neutralized with iced saline. After ice is applied, there is no further discomfort. Burning may last 15-45 minutes. A steroid ointment may be applied to keep your skin moist and promote healing. Post pain medication is not required.
Q: What should I expect after a peel?
A: Initially your face will appear red. Within a few days, superficial layers of skin will darken, become stiff, crack, flake, and peel. Flaking is usually complete in 4-7 days. There will be no open wounds and no scabs. Once your old skin has sloughed, your new skin will be bright and flushed. Application of makeup can be resumed once you finish peeling. You can return to work immediately, but you may choose to avoid public appearances during this process. You may resume skin care within 2 weeks and the flushed appearance will fade slowly over several weeks.
